š¾Miroās Gramercy Tavern farewell tour
Congratulations Miro for 10 years as Executive Pastry Chef at Gramercy Tavern. Youāve made quite the impact on the culinary world.
Jenna and I have had so much fun celebrating you and all that you have achieved since the time we spent together at Pastry Diva.
In August 2001, Jenna and I had our first trip to NYC and Gramercy Tavern. I was in culinary school and enamored by Gramercy Tavernās Executive Pastry Chef Claudia Fleming. I vividly remember enjoying her Chocolate Caramel Tart and trying to replicate her recipe from her book after that experience.
Little did we know that over the next 8 years I would have my own pastry shop, Pastry Diva. Jenna would work there part-time and you, Miro, would travel from Serbia to start your pastry career learning how to build and elegantly ice buttercream cakes.
We were all so excited for you when you embarked on your next adventure the Culinary Institute of America in New York.
You diligently perfected your craft and eventually you became the next Claudia Flemingā¦.Executive Pastry Chef Miro Uskokovic.
22 years later after my first stop at GTā¦it is so fascinating to see how life has weaved so many threads together to create a beautiful tapestry of memories.
Cheers to you, Miro, for following your dreams and creating your own path.
Cheers to the adventures of life!
